All-Star Pitcher, Victor Payano Re-Signs

All-Star left-handed pitcher Victor Payano returns for his second season with the London Majors.

 

The 6-foot-5, Payano hails from San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. Payano spent 10 seasons in the minor leagues with the Texas Rangers (seven seasons), Miami Marlins (one season), and Cincinnati Reds (two seasons) reaching the triple-A level.

 

In 2024 during the regular season with the Majors Payano recorded 5 wins and 3 saves in 18 games including 9 starts while posting a 2.94 era.  In 67 innings Payano struck out 90 batters while only allowing 18 walks. In 3 playoff games, Payano had 2 wins.

 

Payano is a true professional who works hard at his craft and is willing to help the team whether he's starting or out of the bullpen. With his experience and presence, he quickly emerged as a clubhouse leader.
