Former Blue Jay Farmhand, Francisco Fajardo, Signs with Majors
Infielder Francisco Fajardo, formerly in the Blue Jays minor league system, has signed to play with the London Majors. The 24-year-old from San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, will join the Majors after spending three seasons in the Jays minor leagues, including a stint with the Vancouver Canadians in 2022.
In those 3 seasons in the Jays organization, Franciso batted 0.297 with 4 HR 35 RBIs, and 57 stolen bases. Francisco has also spent time playing in Japan, Panama, and the Dominican Republic. In addition to his bat and baserunning skills, Fajardo is also a very good defensive player who can make plays with his glove and strong arm. He is versatile and can play all four infield positions.
