Majors bring back De Los Santos
The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of left-handed pitcher Pedro De Los Santos.
Originally from Santo Domingo, De Los Santos continues to grow his career in the IBL as he signs for his 6th season and 3rd with the Majors. After putting up a career-best in ERA in 2021, De Los Santos had a slower start to the 2022 season before turning things around in July. In 2022, Pedro hit career highs in strikeouts, games, and starts. He finished the regular season with 3 wins and 3 losses.
A key piece going forward into the 2023 season, Pedro will be another veteran on the pitching staff for Roop Chanderdat, “Pedro is a professional and has a very durable arm. I can use him both as a starter and out of the bullpen and know he will compete in every outing. He is a good asset to have on our pitching staff.”
The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. In 2021 the London Majors won the IBL Jack & Lynn Dominico Trophy. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world. The league was established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
