The Department of Digital Content is seeking applicants for a Professional-in-training/Internship.
Program/Unit Description:
The Department of Digital Content for the London Majors will have an internship program for 2025 in various areas throughout Majors Media (1-2 Photographers, 1 Videographer). The Department of Digital Content for the London Majors is committed to bringing on a diverse staff and actively encourages candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. Each intern will also work with a member of the Majors media team as a mentor for the year.
Internship: Digital Content Production – Photography, Videography
Supervisors: Matt Hiscox (Manager of Digital Content/Photographer), Jake Arts (Graphic Designer/Lead Videographer)
Anticipated start date: May 1st 2025
Term(Approx.): May 1st 2025 – October 1st 2025
Required Qualifications:
- Photography/Videography Gear (Including laptop)
- Experience in video/photo production (shooting, editing, storytelling)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Affinity for leadership development & community outreach
- Hands-on experience in video production or photography
- Demonstrated knowledge of Photo/video editing/production software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Internship Description:
The Manager of Digital Content (and others) will supervise and mentor this internship. You will have an initial period of observation and critique, followed by supervision as needed. You are expected to ask for assistance when needed. A general description of the internship opportunity is as follows:
Receive “hands-on” learning experiences with:
- Assisting in the conceptualization, shooting, editing, production, and distribution of video and photo projects for Majors' media using DSLR cameras and the Adobe Suite for post-production (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects)
- Collaborate with other units within the department including Graphics, Broadcast, and Marketing/Promotions, in the production of content that meets department goals and objectives
- Utilize creative spirit to engage fans through engaging multimedia content that tells the great stories of athlete
Top Three Projects (Ongoing Projects):
- Media Day
- Event Photos/video (Father’s Day, Opening Day, and other sponsored events)
- Employee/Volunteer Photos
- Sponsored giveaways/events in the park
- Misc. projects for teams - intro videos, event coverage,
Compensation:
Volunteer-based
