Local LHP Alex Springer Signs

Local left-handed pitcher Alex has signed with the Majors. Alex is a graduate from the Junior program, and this will be his first full-time season with the Majors.

In 2024, as an affiliated player (AP), Springer appeared in 5 regular-season games with 2 starts and posted a team-low 1.68 ERA. In 16 innings, he had 17 strikeouts and only 3 walks

Springer is currently attending the University of Bridgeport, a Division 2 school in the USA.  During the 2024 season at Bridgeport, Springer appeared in 10 games with eight starts.  He finished with a 2-3 record across 35.2 innings pitched and tallied 26 strikeouts. Before Bridgeport, he pitched in 2023 for Connors Junior College.
